1934 Wyandotte, No. 334 Streamlined Electric Lighted CoupeÂ
Outstanding heavy gauge pressed steel automobile manufactured by Wyandotte. Known as "The Club Coupe" for its remarkable streamlined art deco design. It's one of the most difficult pre-war "cockscomb" models to find today. Cockscomb, of course, refers to the splendid 3-point cascading hood ornament which Wyandotte included on several rare vehicles. The Coupe is also one of the most difficult pre-war electric lighted vehicles to find. In this case it comes complete with its original battery holder, on/off switch, light-bar contact, and authentic 1930's flat-bulb Mazda headlamps. Both, of which, work beautifully! In addition to its expanded tear drop fenders it also features streamlined hood louvers, a polished steel radiator shell, polished steel front and rear bumpers, rear trunk embossed spare tire, and all four original white rubber tires. Coincidentally, an article in this month's Antique Toy World (Sept. 2005, page 95) on Automotive Styling 1900-1960 includes a photograph of this auto as representative of innovative American 1930's design.
